I'm getting a lot of emails from parents tonight and I am in awe.

I teach at a middle school we are going virtual tomorrow and I just got to my desk for the day. As I was booting up my computer I already have 5 unread emails. I open them up and it's parents just telling me they are sorry for the way the district is handling things, they agree that teachers should be able to stay virtual, and their kids will be staying home and getting counted as absences. I'm so touched that parents are standing up for us and sending their kids home. I'm still in the new teacher phase so even though my school/parents are very supportive in general, I'm still trying to find my footing and it just gives me warm fuzzies to see so much support.

**EDIT: Some people are confused on the virtual part. This is just for tomorrow, and only for a special population of kids who are in an after school program we have and usually are at school a lot longer than our regular students.**
