My mom just said she's not voting for Trump because of the kids in cages

Hello everyone , this is my first post on chamber, I usually just lurk and enjoy the funny jokes here. I'm a 14 year old who got triggered into politics by Trump. It's not like I didn't care about politics before, but watching the news for years, watching innocent kids die, watching the news everyday and seeing another fuck up from trump, it was enough to push me to do something. I decided to get more politically active and be more outspoken about my political beliefs, which brought me here. I've been a lurker here for about a year now, this is my first post and I'm glad that I can share this with you guys.<br><br>Over the summer, I went to visit my grandparents in Iran. I've been there multiple times before, and I love the country and the people, it's very different from what you see in the news. I was there for a month, and the whole time I was worried that Iran would get bombed, a war would start, and I would be stuck in a war zone. I was really scared to lose my life because of a dumbfuck president. Luckily, my mom let me fly back to the US by myself, and here I am, in the US, safe and sound. I was really happy to be back in the US, but then I looked at the news and the first thing I saw was the news about the kids in cages. I was absolutely disgusted, I couldn't believe this was the country I called home, I couldn't believe this is where I lived. I was really fucking mad at the government, and more importantly at Trump. I was talking to my mom about the news and she said she was absolutely disgusted by what Trump did, and she said she would not be voting for Trump this time around. My mom, a Republican, was going to vote for Trump, but Trump's constant fuck ups were enough to push her away from him. That moment, I felt a sliver of hope, a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. If my mom wasn't going to vote for Trump, maybe everyone else would stop voting for him too. Maybe this year, we can take back the country, and make America great again.
