Hello. I know this may sound a little crazy, but hear me out. I'm not a rich person, but I have a pretty good job as a programmer in a large firm. I'm very close to one of my coworkers, named Alex, who I have now made my friend, and he's a nice guy. He also is pretty good with computers. Why am I saying this? Because me and Alex played around with things we weren't supposed to play with, and we ended up finding a website in which you can pay $3.5 million dollars to hunt and kill a person for 24 hours (I'll just call it that from now on). I'm not sure how we found it or how it worked exactly, but one day while Alex and I were working on a contract for a big client we saw an advertisement pop up for that very thing. It was just so random, and at first we laughed, but then we looked at each other, and I knew we were going to do it. We clicked on the advertisement, and it sent us to an old, crappy website that looked like it was made in the 90s. It had a very basic interface, but it was descriptive in its words. It said that we could legally hunt and kill a person for 24 hours. They said they were fully sponsored by the government, and they said that they were completely legal, and that nothing would happen to us if we did it. Of course, that's bullshit, right? But Alex and I were very curious humans, and we investigated further. It said you had to pay a 3.5 million dollar fee to play. Alex was pretty rich, and so was I, so we were both pretty sure we could do it. Of course, this was insane, but we were determined to do it. At the bottom, there was a create account button. So we clicked it, and created an account. We were sent to a login screen. So we logged in, and we were sent to a page that gave us a couple of options. The only two options were: -Eastern Europe -Northern United States We were a bit confused, but we talked about it for a bit. Then we noticed that Northern United States said (YOU MUST BE LOGGED IN AS AN ADMINISTRATOR TO USE THIS FEATURE.) We were a little confused. Of course, we had full administrative permissions on our devices, but why would they care about that? Unless... This website wasn't from Earth. But of course, that's bullshit, right? We went ahead and clicked on Eastern Europe. We were sent to another page that said: **SELECT PACKAGE** There were 3 packages. **$0.00: Regular person. This is the most common choice.** **$500,000.00: Ex-Cop. Cops are very hard to kill, as you may know. Many have taken this option and regretted it.** **$1,000,000.00: Soldier. This option is not legal in some areas, but we have permission from the government.** Of course, humans aren't worth different prices. Unless... This website wasn't from Earth. But of course, that's bullshit, right? We wanted to take the soldier option, but we decided to go with the regular package. We were sent to a page that gave us some options for the hunt. **SELECT TIME LENGTH** We could pick how long it lasted. There were two options: -24 hours: 3.5 million dollars -48 hours: 6 million dollars We decided to go with the first option. **SELECT KILL OPTIONS** This is where we could select where and how we could kill the person. We didn't have the credentials to see the other options, but we could select two, which were: -Outside: 0 dollars extra -Inside: 1 million extra We talked about it for a long time, and we decided to go with Outside. We were sent to a payment screen, and we paid 3.5 million dollars to the website. It said that a message would be sent to both of our emails. Later that day, when we were still at work, we received an email. We opened it, and it said: **SELECT LOCATION** This is where we could select the location of the hunt. There were two options: -Albania: 500,000 dollars -Bulgaria: 1,000,000 dollars We talked about it for a long time, and we decided to go with Albania. That was it. We never saw anything else from the website. We were confused and very scared humans, because we had just blown 4 million dollars on a website that we had no idea was real. But Alex and I were in this together. We had known each other for years, and we were old friends. We could rely on each other. Days went by, and nothing happened. We went to work like normal, and life went on as usual. We had completely forgotten about the website, and we thought it was a scam. Until one day, when we both got emails in the mail. Actual emails. Not digital ones. It was weird, because there was no postage or stamp on it. We lived in different areas of the city, and we both got it at the same time. We opened it, and we saw some very weird stuff. There was a map, a gun, and a note. The map had a circle around an area in some city in Albania. I think it was called Vlorë. The gun was a beautiful pistol, that was customized to look amazing. It also had extra ammunition, and some pretty cool attachments. The note had some details. **INFORMATION** **TARGET:** *Name: Jonathan.* *Age: 26.* *Nationality: British.* *Language: English.* *Appearance: 6 feet tall, blonde hair, green eyes, blue shirt.* *Skills: He is a regular civilian. He works as accountant for a large firm in Vlorë.* *Location: He will be located in the area on the map you received.* **GAME RULES:** *You must hunt and kill the target in the time allocated.* *You cannot use cars or any vehicles in the hunt.* *It must be just you two.* *There must be no other weapons used by you two.* *You must be in the area on the map.* *You cannot hunt and kill the target in a building.* *There must be nothing covering your face.* *You cannot hunt and kill the target outside the time allocated.* *You cannot hunt and kill the target outside the area on the map.* *You cannot hunt and kill the target in a building or on a building.* *Once you hunt and kill the target, you must give this note to them.* **TIME ALLOCATION:** *12:00 PM May 1ST - 12:00 PM May 2ND.* **DISCLAIMER** *WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU GET INJURED OR DIE DURING THE HUNT.* *WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU GET CAUGHT BY THE POLICE.* *WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU HUNT AND KILL THE WRONG PERSON.* *WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU GET HUNTED.* That was it. We were confused and very scared humans, but we knew we had to do it. I mean, what the hell? Of course, we knew that this was a joke, right? But we humans like to take things seriously. We were determined to do it. So we did everything we had to do to get ready. We bought plane tickets for May 1ST, and we booked a hotel right outside Vlorë. We packed our bags, which mostly consisted of the pistol and some clothes. As the day got closer and closer, we were more and more excited. In all honesty, we didn't take this very seriously, and we thought that we would arrive in Albania, and there would be nobody there, and we'd just be two idiotic, scared humans with a nice pistol. But that's not what happened. On May 1ST, we got on a plane, and we were excited, but scared. We were actually going through with it. Once we got to the airport in Albania, we rented a car, and drove to our hotel. We stayed there until 12:00 PM, when we got in our car, and drove to Vlorë. Once we got there, we parked the car, and walked a bit to the area on the map. It was a rural area, and there were a lot of trees everywhere. It was perfect for the hunt. Once we were in the area on the map, we looked around. And then we saw him. He was walking down the road a couple of hundred feet away from us. He had blonde hair and a blue shirt on. We pulled out the gun, and we were shaking humans. We didn't know what to do. Once he got closer, we saw that it was him, and we shot him in the head. And just like that, it was over. We walked up to him, and we put the note next to his body, and we left. We walked to the car, and we drove back to the hotel. We stayed there until the next morning, and then we flew back home. That's it. That's the story of how my friend and I hunted and killed a person. But there's still some questions in our minds. Was this a prank? Or was this real? Did we just hunt and kill a person? Or did we hunt and kill a person for real? We'll never know.
