AITA for canceling my brother's wedding?

We were a 2 income household growing up. Our parents were able to send both of us away to college. And after that they paid for law school for my brother and med school for me.

They just sold their company and are retired. After our schooling was paid for, they invested the rest. I have 10 million in my trust, my brother has 10 million in his trust. They live off of what's left.

I have 2 kids, a 10 year old girl and 14 year old boy. My brother has 2 kids, a 13 year old daughter and 5 year old son.

My brother met his longtime gf when their kids were 1 and 4. She was a single mom of 2. He adopted both when they were 6 and 9. My parents love her. She's from a wealthy background.

They've been together 8 years, engaged for 1. The plan was to get married 2 months ago, but we found out that his fiancée was lying about being an heiress. The money was actually from a settlement. And she spent most of it on her kids.

This was the same as someone telling me my wife had been cheating. Believe me when I say we were shocked. Our parents pressed her about why she lied and she said she didn't want her kids to have to feel inferior in our wealthy family. And that they may think she married for money.

Well, it turns out that her kids don't even have trust funds. And they live in the same house as my brother. My parents house is big but it feels crammed with 6 additional people. And they don't even have their own money.

Our parents were split on whether to allow them to get married. They did already have 2 kids together. So it's not like they could cut ties easily. But I knew they had to call it off. They've already merged into a family with 6 kids. Together they've spent money on 4 kids that weren't a result of their relationship. So they don't even know who they would have married for anyway.

If I had to guess, I'd say they've already spent 2 million. And it shows. They live in a big house, they vacation in Europe, the kids have nice cars, they have a big boat. They're living the high life but on what money? It's from my family. And they have 0 savings.

They had to cancel the wedding because it was costing them 200k and they just spent 100k on my niece's bat mitzva. My brother asked my parents for money to help cover it and they said no. He decided to go ahead and pay for it with his trust money. My parents told him that they needed to call the wedding off. They said that she was trying to keep 6 kids in the luxury she was familiar with, at the expense of my brother's money. But they were supposed to have their own money. That's why they were okay with my brother dating someone with kids. They were fine because she was also from a wealthy family. But now it's just my brother's money.

My parents said they should call the wedding off. My brother refused and said he would do whatever it took to make it happen. He started selling stuff to have enough money to cover the wedding, boat, house, etc. My parents freaked out. They didn't want him to drain his money on a wedding and an expensive lifestyle. This was all in the span of a week.

It was the day before the wedding, he had around 50k left of the 300k he spent to afford everything. I knew this was it, they weren't going to be able to live how they were living. They'd already sold 2 houses, a condo, and 2 cars. They sold the boat and the majority of their jewelry. I didn't want my brother to completely drain his finances so I offered to buy the 3 remaining properties for 2.5 million and the remaining 2 cars for 200k. I'd give him the 2.5, and he could keep the cars.

So now they had 3 million, enough to afford the wedding. But at what cost. They lost everything. A lot of it for no reason. They decided they couldn't go ahead with it. A week later she left him and took the 6 kids.
I guess I'm the asshole here? I feel like it's not really my fault, this wouldn't have happened had she been honest and not a gold digger. But still.
