Honest question - Why the strong sentiment against Taurus?

I recently purchased a Taurus G2C 9mm and the first thing I heard from a vast majority of people was, “I would have preferred you picked up a Glock.”

I have to admit that I have never shot a Glock (or a Taurus for that matter) until now, so I didn’t have a basis to compare the two. However, my mom has done a lot of research and is very satisfied with her purchase (it was an impulse buy FYI).

She is a novice shooter but she says that the G2C gives her good accuracy and she liked the 16 +1 mag capacity.

Her main reasoning for not going with a Glock 19 is the grip size. She is a female with smaller hands and the Taurus G2C is more comfortable for her than the Glock. Which is noted by the fact that she is getting better accuracy and control with the Taurus.

I guess you could say she is glad she made this purchase over the Glock 19. So… I don’t see the issue with Taurus?

The gun shoots smoothly, the accuracy is good, and the price is way more budget friendly than any Glock.

Is it possible that people are just too used to Glocks and have a hard time adjusting to new brands? Or is there something that I’m not seeing here?

Please let me know if you’ve had any good experiences with Taurus or otherwise.
