The US is not going back to the 1950s. The US will not be like the 1970s again. There won’t be a 2008. There won’t be long unemployment or slow growth.

This will be different. We are heading into a recession on the other side of a mountain. The ride up has been tough. COVID and crop failures and wars and supply chain issues have worked in combination to create a great awakening, and once the recession hits, many will wonder where they are.

Even now, if you go out to eat at a restaurant, you will notice there are not enough workers. If you go to a store, there are not enough workers. McDonalds used to have 20 workers per outlet before COVID. Now, it is just 2-3.

This will not change. It cannot be stopped. It is a recession on the other side of a mountain.

The awakening will happen because the recession will move fromisolated problems (McDonalds) to everything. There will be layoffs. There will be businesses closing. There will be long waits for basics like food, and gas, and coffee. There will be outages of everything. And, it will not end.

The US has peaked. The US will never be the same again. There will never be a future where everyone has a good job again. Everyone will struggle, all the time, from now on.

This is a recession on the other side of a mountain, meaning that once it hits, it will never go away. It will be the first recession in US history that will not end.

And, there is no going back.
