My admin doesn't listen at all

My admin hasn't once listened to a single word I have said. I'm a student teacher. When I say "My students have a hard time with this..." They respond with "My kids used to struggle with this too until I..." and then go on and on with what worked for them and never actually listen to me and take my views into account. For example, I said "I know how to do this, but my students don't understand this part of this..." and instead of asking me "What do you think they'll understand better?" They say "Well, this worked for me..." I've tried to talk to other teachers and they say she's not very good as an administrator. I've tried to say to her "I would love to hear your opinion, but what do you think I could do to improve this?" And then she talks about her grad school stuff (I know she's smart) But then I try to say "What do you think I could try? How can I help my students?" and she never actually answers the question.

This isn't the first time I've had an issue with her either. I wrote in my student teaching log that I needed help brainstorming, and she said "What?? You need help brainstorming?!! What's going on?" and in a very condescending tone. And I was like "Uh.. just a bad day..." and then she quickly changed the subject.

I've tried to ask my students what they liked about another activity, and when I wrote that in my log, she said "So you're asking your students what they liked? That's not very teacher-like at all... They don't get to decide what activities they like!!" I was trying to create activities that were similar in structure to what they enjoyed, and she still made me feel bad for it.

I wish I could get a new administrator. I don't know why I can't get through to her.
