We all know that there are supposed to be a ton of Chinese people online right now. YouTube comments, Twitter, Chambers, etc. They're almost all pro-communist, pro-CPC, pro-Xi. They overwhelmingly support the invasion of Taiwan.

Recently, I was watching a video in which the narrator was passionately proving that they were ethnic Han Chinese, not Taiwanese. They had a CPC flag in the background and were talking about how the PRC is the rightful ruler of Taiwan. This guy was very obviously Taiwanese. His Mandarin accent was horrible and he was using Taiwanese slang. This is the same for many accounts online. Most are from Taiwan with horrible Mandarin accents. They're passion for CPC, Xi, and China are something we find as very foreign. Taiwanese people generally do not act like this. We're passionate about our country and certainly not the PRC. In Taiwan, we know CPC is nothing more than a tool for the state. We see it as corrupt and as a totalitarian regime.

However, there are people in Taiwan who passionately support CPC and want Taiwan to be absorbed into PRC. They're known as 50c. 50c are mainlanders who were relocated to Taiwan after the civil war. They moved here and are still "Chinese" people in every sense of the word, but they cannot go back to mainland China. They have no stake in Taiwan and certainly do not want to defend it. They see Taiwan as just a province of PRC and the CPC as their government. Within Taiwan, they're a minority and few people are on their side. So, now they're online with CPC flag in the background proving they're "Chinese" and passioned about CPC.
