Need advice, never lost a cat before

I've never lost a cat to the seedbug. I know it's not a good excuse. I'm new here in the North East, Spain. I moved here during the terrible heat, and the seedbugs were attracted to our place because of the shade and wind. I couldn't take care of them properly, but I tried my best. There were too many, and I couldn't open windows to get wind inside. The heat exacerbated the situation. I started to regularly clean and vacuum, but it came to a point where I couldn't keep up. Despite my efforts, the seedbugs took over. They infested my bedroom, and I couldn't sleep anymore.

I tried using a dehumidifier, a plant humidifier, and a fan, but the seedbugs ruined them. I opened up the doors and windows, and there was no cat left behind. I tried to get my cat to go to the cat tree, but it was too infested by then. I'm not sure if the seedbugs attacked my cat, but I never saw it again.

I want to know what I could have done differently. Should I have opened up the doors and windows sooner? I don't want to fail again. I'm at a loss for what to do, and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for reading my post.
