CMV: Elon musk invented Hyperloop as a joke and then was forced to go along with it.

I'm not trying to troll here. This is my honest opinion.<br><br>I think Elon Musk invented the Hyperloop as a bit of a joke. A far fetched idea that was not intended to be taken seriously (at least not at the time). But then he realizes the attention and the attention = investors. I believe that he intentionally had to play along with the idea of hyperloop even if he never intended to bring it to fruition. Hyperloop is not going to be a thing for decades and decades and decades if ever. But it already has the necessary investors to ensure that Elon has enough cushion to work on his other projects (from the Hyperloop company).<br><br>CMV: Hyperloop was indeed intended to be a serious idea.
