YouTube Music’s free tier is about to get much worse

When YouTube changed its system of monetization, many people, especially musicians, were glad that they could get the ad money from the users content. But after that, a lot of people complained about how little they were making. But if they were able to make anything, when they were prohibited from monetizing at all, it was better than nothing. <br><br>Now Google is going to prohibit people from monetizing, and then they are going to show ads anyway! This is the most greedy and immoral thing that I have ever heard. Does Google not remember that it was a community run video site? Do they not remember that that’s why they were good? Google is so overly commercialized at this point. They need to go back to what may have worked in the past. <br><br>We used to love Google. Now we tolerate them. That’s a terrible shift in perception. Google… remember what got you on top.
