What is /pol/’s obsession with the word ‘goyim’?

I’m not Jewish, but I’ve noticed that whenever anything remotely related to Israel pops up on the front page, I see people in the comments going “Fuck off, goyim”. <br><br>Why? Is that supposed to be an insult? It literally means ‘other nations’ in hebrew and is used to refer to a non-Jewish person.
