What are your thought on medical school?

I (23m) am an American and I am currently considering taking the MCAT and applying to medical school. I have talked with my parents and they are against the idea. They say that the years of schooling is far too long and expensive. They think it will be too much debt for me to pay off on my own and that the career may not be worth it in the end. I have a undergraduate degree in chemical engineering and I know multiple people in my field who have gone to medical school and many are happy. <br><br>I thought it would be a good idea to hear thoughts or opinions from this sub. Also, I am a MGTOWer.
