Got dumped. No explanation.

About me: 40M, 3 kids(11F, 10F, 7M), 20+ years blue collar. No debt, single story house, good health, 5 figures savings, 60k income. <br><br>The ex: 42F. 3 kids. 2 degrees including a Masters. Works as optometrist. Together 6 years, lived together since kid 1 was 6 months. Engaged since Jan 2022. Was supposed to get married 10/28/24.<br><br>Now, our relationship was anything but perfect. There were problems but only one ever took the time to address them, and that was me. She is very closed off and will talk more about her day than anything else. <br><br>Anyway, we go pick up the kids. Come home, and she is packing bags. I ask what's going on, and she has been unhappy for a while but "doesn't have time to tell me". <br><br>Me: "But we've talked-"<br><br>Her: "No, you've talked and I've listened." Then she told me what I can take.<br><br>Now, I'll admit that I did get a little violent with my words. I told her I would get a lawyer, and she asked if that would get her back. I told her no but it would make it very hard for her to support 3 kids with her income alone with the amount of support and alimony I would get. Honestly, the whole thing was just a blur and I was more angry at myself than anything. She didn't even write a letter. She didn't even give me a reason.<br><br>Now I'm alone, and the kids are heartbroken. I'm trying to be strong for them but the whole house is just...empty.<br><br>I know I'm not the best. I work a lot. I'm in bad shape. I drink too much and smoke too much weed. But I thought she loved me, and I know the kids do. I'm just lost and angry and hurt.
