My girlfriend has always been very active. Gym, hiking, cricket, Yoga etc. She’s in great shape and has strengthened her body a lot. Ever since we started dating, I try to support her as much as I can. I go cricket with her, I go hiking, I never complain about missing out on any “guy stuff” (I’m actually grateful she doesn’t drag me to the salon or shopping). That sounds perfectly normal in any relationship. I’ll admit I do this more than most guys I know.

She told me “you’re too supportive”. When I asked her what she meant by that and elaborated that I didn’t understand, she said I’m too good at supporting her. I don’t really get what she means and I think it’s a bad thing. I obviously want her to be happy, and I think she looks great too. I wanted to ask her if I’m being too supportive then should I just support her less? I don’t really want to have that conversation with her, but I don’t really get what she means by it.
