I'm tired of hearing rhetoric about "kicking out all the illegals and closing the border" as if it would even be close to feasible, never mind the logistics behind it.

When you look at the estimated 11-22 million "illegals" currently in the United States, if we're going to deport them, we need to start a process to vet all of them to see those who have committed crimes, those who are nefarious, and those who are otherwise qualified to assimilate into American society. I'm not sure you can legally be deported from a country without leaving, but that's what I would have happen - as soon as you're vetted, you immediately get deported, but you'll also be immediately allowed back into the country.

Let me explain how this works. When you're deported, you leave the country, but you're at the front of the line, and immediately allowed back into the country. True, this sounds like a silly game of musical chairs, but hear me out - I'd have all immigrants who are vetted and cleared back in the country in a month or so, but you now have people who have been vetted and cleared, which is better than what we have now.

Edit: To make this more clear, I'm not talking about all people outside of the United States having immediate access to be let back in the country. Only those people who are in the United States who are deemed "illegals" would be considered.

To clarify more, I would only consider someone who crossed the border without going through the proper channels to be an illegal.
