Alternative to Deism in a High Fantasy World

I'm working on a high fantasy world where magic is fully integrated into society. I've noticed a theme in many high fantasy stories, games, etc. where, especially in worlds that have a Christian analogue, the pantheon of gods from that world is worshiped in the real world in addition to the real life gods. There are communities of people who worship the Norse pantheon, Greek pantheon, etc. even though those gods don't exist in the real world.

To avoid that, I want to replace the pantheon of gods in my high fantasy world with something else that still meets the cultural and societal needs that a pantheon of gods would. The idea of deism is very close to what I'm looking for, but I feel like it's still too much like the worship of gods. So, I'm looking for an alternative to deism that is still something that people can make sacrifices to and pray to. I'm looking for a concept that exists in the world that people can essentially personify and put a human face on, and then worship the personification of that concept.

I'm looking for something that is a fundamental force of nature, something that cannot be directly observed, and something that people could believe has a consciousness or life of its own. I want the people in my world to have a personified view of this concept that is so widespread that people see it as a separate entity with its own power and personality, even if they don't truly believe that it has a consciousness or is an active force in the world.

This concept should be broad enough to cover all of the basic human needs that are typically met by a pantheon of gods, such as protection from evil, protection from disease, fertility, prosperity, protection from natural disasters, protection from injury, etc.

Thanks for any ideas, I feel like I'm missing something kind of obvious.
