My boyfriend says he is okay with polyamory. Is it reasonable for me to want him to be in a romantic relationship with someone else so I can get jealous?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 15 months and things are going great. I'm a jealous person in general, but I don't let my jealousy rule my actions but it has been a theme in past relationships. He isn't jealous at all. I have been pretty jealous of our relationship but it isn't overbearing but today I thought it would be hot for him to be in a relationship with someone else so I could experience the jealousy. I told him but he said he isn't capable of being in a relationship with more than one person, he said he likes the idea of it but he isn't actually interested in doing it. Would it make sense to ask him anyway?
