New to this sub, thought I would create this thread to get people's thoughts on this. Making sure that stock prices continuing to rise will help the economy far more than raising the minimum wage or giving everyone money or further regulating businesses or anything else. If the stock market is doing well, companies are doing well, and everyone will benefit.

EDIT: I am fully aware that not everyone owns stocks. However, many people have retirements, pensions, and other financial accounts that are often made up of stocks.

EDIT 2: I really appreciate everyone who has taken the time to share their thoughts and opinions. I had no idea this was going to get as big as it did. I've seen a few posts of people who think I am arguing that we should just focus on the stock prices and forget about everyone who isn't in the market. This is not what I am trying to say. I am saying that if the market is doing well, everyone who owns stocks will benefit. I understand that isn't everyone, but it is a lot of people. I am not saying we should forget about those who are not in the market.

EDIT 3: These "rebuttals" from those who are downvoting me and not posting comments are already killing me. If you disagree, why not share your thoughts?

EDIT 4: I understand that the stock market can be a very divisive and controversial subject, and there are strong feelings on both sides. I'm not stupid and I know everyone is not going to agree with this view. Please keep in mind that there is still a lot I don't know, and I'm just looking to hear people's opinions. Thank you all for continuing to share your thoughts.
