My shower has been acting strange lately

I don't really know what's been happening, it's just the water starts shooting out of the faucet over my head (its one of those shower heads that's attached to the ceiling) and then it slows to a trickle. Sometimes it'll be fine, once it shoots out and then goes back to normal speed. It's been doing it a lot lately. <br><br>One time I was in the shower along with my daughter and it started shooting fast again, but this time my daughter said the water was cold. I couldn't see the water from where I was, but she said it was really cold and was shooting really hard, and then it just stopped. About five minutes later, it happened again, and my daughter said it was warm this time.<br><br>I think maybe there's a problem with the pipes, but I don't know. It's been okay since.
