"Stop telling us how to dress if you say you're our allies" - Or, another Saudi funded hijabi woman getting mad at Israel for not telling women not to cover up.

For those of you who don’t know, Ilhan Omar and the rest of the gang have been going on twitter telling women in Israel, and other “non-Muslim countries” to cover up, and telling Israel to “stop telling us our bodies don’t belong to us.”

This is not Saudi Arabia, bitch. Women here can literally do anything they want, and if you feel that you are restricted by your father/husband/who knows who, you can come to the government and they’ll help you. I E, there is no concept of mahram in Israel, and you can just leave your father/husband if you don’t like being with them.

She also talks about the strange juxtaposition with the right, or so to say, telling women to cover up, and the left not. Well, let me tell you honey, in Israel, the left tells women to dress how ever the hell they want. And if it’s not modest enough, fuck you. While the right does tell women to cover up, it’s not that hard to ignore them, and feel “oppressed” by their presence.

I’m sure that the government getting in the way of women’s bodies is also AOK with Ilhan and the gang (just look at abortion rights in the US right now, but that’s a topic for another time), and she surely knows nothing about the right to dress however you want in Israel/the US/Canada/Europe etc. Although I do wonder why she’s so pro Israel all of a sudden: “Stop telling us how to dress if you say you’re our allies.”

Edit: This is Ilhan Omar, but Rashida Talib has also posted this.
