I’ve been together with my fiancé for 2 years and we have a child together. We’re due to get married in a ceremony in July but I was planning to get married legally before then.

I am pregnant again and I am considering abortion. The reason for this is that our child was born with a rare condition that affects their brain and body development. I am worried that if I were to have another child, there is a small chance that they could be born with the same condition or another disability.

My biggest fear is if my fiancé’s grandparents or aunt were to find out. His aunt has a child with a disability and has spoken out against abortion for disabilities. My worry is that if they were to find out, they would try to get our children taken away from us but even mentioning any possibility of it makes me feel guilty and I am worried about it being used against us.

We are flying to another country soon for a few days. I have made an appointment to have an abortion there. If I am unable to do so, I will not have a child. Should I go ahead with it, go for the trip with the intention of cancelling the appointment if I change my mind, or not abort at all?
