Google to pay $85 million in ad settlement with Arizona

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes announced that Google (including YouTube) has agreed to pay $85 million to settle a lawsuit accusing them of deceiving users about their data collection practices and how they use their location data to target advertisements. The lawsuit claimed that Google's data collection practices violate Arizona's Consumer Fraud Act.<br><br>Google will also be required to clarify their data collection practices and to give users more granular control in their location data settings. They will also be prohibited from making further changes to those settings without user consent.
