I never thought I would be in a relationship with an overweight woman

I am an architect living in a small northern Swiss town. I am 42 and I have been in a relationship with my girlfriend Aneta for 1.5 years. I live in a flat with one of my roommates, he is married and has 2 kids. Aneta has 2 daughters who are 8 and 6, Aneta lives together with her boyfriend Janek.<br><br>We all met at a community garden we all help out in, Aneta was there with her daughters. I have never really been in a long-term relationship with an overweight woman, I generally prefer curvy women and I haven't really had any problems with getting into relationships with women. I find Aneta really attractive, she is overweight but I think she is very pretty. She has curly hair and a really nice smile. We talked for quite a long time and I had a great feeling when talking to her. She introduced herself to my roommate and his wife and we all got along really well. She is always really nice to them and brings them small gifts.<br><br>Talking to her helped me to learn more about her and her life. She has 2 daughters and she is taking care of them alone since her ex-husband left them. She doesn't get any money from him so she had to raise them alone while also working. I think she did a really good job at raising them. They are both very nice and Aneta is a great mother, she sacrifices a lot for them. I think she struggles a lot to make ends meet but she doesn't complain about it. Even if she doesn't earn much, she always brings something to potlucks and parties.<br><br>Aneta's boyfriend doesn't live with her and the kids, he has his own flat. I told her multiple times I don't like that he is not living with her and the kids but she said they are happy as they are. She hasn't felt sexually attracted to him since long before I met her and she also doesn't really like him. But she feels bad about leaving him as he lost his job and his health is declining. But she said she can't imagine living with him and she hopes he will understand. I told her he doesn't deserve her but she said she feels bad and she can't leave him alone. I don't really understand this but I think she is very empathetic. When we talked about it she told me that she feels bad about leaving Janek and that she feels bad about me who is single and still living with a roommate and his family. I told her it is not the same but she said she will think about it.<br><br>One day we went to the swimming pool together. She doesn't like going to the swimming pool because she is ashamed of her body. But she said that she doesn't want to be ashamed of her body and she decided to go to the swimming pool with me before I even asked her to. She was a bit ashamed but I told her she has nothing to be ashamed of. She is a very pretty and attractive woman, I told her that I love her. But she was still a bit ashamed, I said we should go to the sauna together where we can be alone. She agreed and we went to the sauna. She didn't wear a towel so I also didn't wear one. I think she felt more at ease without the towel. We hugged and I caressed her and told her how beautiful I think she is. I said she doesn't have to be ashamed of anything and she should be proud of her body. She looked happy and proud. We were in the sauna for quite a long time and we talked about how we feel and what we think. I told her that I only want to be with her and that I want to marry her.<br><br>After that she was more confident. She felt more at ease and she looked happy. When we went to the swimming pool she wore a towel but later she took it off and swam. The people there looked at her but I told her to ignore them. I told her that she is the prettiest woman in the whole pool. She smiled and looked happy. I told her that I would like to take a selfie with her. She agreed and I took a selfie of us where we hugged each other. She looked very happy and pretty. I posted the selfie on Facebook, she didn't tell me to delete it but I could tell she was a bit ashamed that her friends saw it. I think she realized that she doesn't have to be ashamed and that she has nothing to be ashamed of.<br><br>She was also ashamed of her teeth. She had some bad teeth from eating too much sugar and not taking care of them. But she never went to a dentist because she was afraid of him taking out her bad teeth and told her she needs implants. But I told her I don't care about her teeth, I said I love her no matter what. I told her that I would be sad if she would get implants because then she wouldn't be Aneta anymore. I said natural teeth are much prettier than artificial teeth, which is true in my opinion. She looked very happy when I told her that. She was very confident and when she smiled, I could see all of her teeth. I think it is really cute that she smiles like that.<br><br>I also told her that she is very smart. She studied sociology and she knows a lot of things. She knows a lot about history and she is also very smart in everyday conversations. I told her that she should pursue a career in sociology. I said that she deserves to earn more and to have a better life. She deserves to be happy and to live a better life. I told her that I would be happy if she would be more confident and if she would believe in herself. She looked very happy when I told her that. I told her that I love her and I want to marry her.<br><br>I told her that she is doing the right thing by raising her daughters, I said raising kids is the most important job and I think she is doing a great job. But I said that she deserves to have a better life, I told her that she should be happy and that she should feel safe about her financial situation. I think I motivated her to pursue a better life. She started to work more and she told me that she will move to a better flat. She said she will buy a flat with 3 rooms instead of the one with 2 rooms she has now. I told her she doesn't have to rush but she said she wants to live in a more spacious flat. She said she will have more space for the daughters and she will have her own room. I asked her what she means and she said that she will have her own room where she can sleep alone.<br><br>She told me that she hasn't been with her boyfriend for a long time. She said that she sleeps in the living room and that Janek sleeps in the bedroom. I asked her how long it has been since they have been in a relationship and she said it has been at least 3 years. I was shocked and I asked her why they are still together then. She said they are still together because she doesn't want to leave him alone. But she said that she wants to leave him soon. I told her that I want to marry her and that I will take care of her and the daughters. She smiled and said that she also wants to marry me.<br><br>I think she realized that she can do better and that she doesn't have to be unhappy. She said that she doesn't want to rush but she will try to make Janek understand that she wants to leave him. I told her that she doesn't have to be with him and she doesn't have to be unhappy. I told her that I love her and I want to spend my whole life with her. I told her that I will take care of her daughters and that I will be a good father to them. She smiled and said that I already am. I asked her when she told the daughters about us and she said she told them from the beginning. I asked her how they reacted and she said they are happy about it. She said they love me and they want me to be their father.<br><br>I am really happy about all of this, I don't know what I would do if I hadn't met Aneta. I think that I would have ended up alone and I would have missed a great opportunity to be happy. But I met her and I am happy. I told her that I want to spend my whole life with her and that I will make sure she and her daughters will always be happy. I promised her that we will be happy together and that we will have a great life together.
