The fact that Palestine is the #1 trending topic in Canada tells me that Canadians are uninformed and influenced by media.

I’m Canadian and I have been living in Israel since 2018, working as a medical intern at Tel Aviv University’s medical school. I have never seen a better run, smoother functioning country in my life. Every person I have met here has been an absolute pleasure, regardless of religion or race. The Palestinians near the border I’ve met are lovely people too, but their leaders are the root cause of this crisis.

The fact that Israel has been attacked, raided, and is still standing is a true testament to this country’s strength and the fact that they are a democracy.

In the last 10 years, Palestine has received over $10 billion in international aid from America and Europe. Where did that money go? Not a single hospital, school, or building in Gaza is run by its leadership. The only people suffering are the 1.9 million people living there. The money is being used to fund terrorism.

Jews from all over the world come to this country to escape anti semitism and persecution. They have nowhere else to go. Unlike any other country in the Middle East, if you are Arab or Palestinian you have equal access to education and career opportunities. And you can even join the Israeli army.

Nowhere in the Middle East except Israel can you be a gay person and have rights. Women have more rights in Israel compared to any other Middle Eastern country.

I’ve lived in Toronto, I’ve lived in Vancouver, I’ve traveled across Canada, and I have never seen such a well run country.

The only reason they are terrorists is because their leaders have chosen to fund terrorism over taking care of their people, and they have been brainwashed into thinking that Israelis are evil.

I have never met so many wonderful people in my life, and I am so glad I made the decision to start a new life here.

Palestine is not occupied. It is not under blockade. Gaza has borders with Egypt, and Israel supplies its electricity, water, and infrastructure.

I can walk down the street and feel safe knowing everyone here is looking out for each other. Israelis are the warmest and kindest people you will ever meet, and I have never seen a better run country.

I believe in peace, and I hope that Palestine finds leadership that truly cares about their people, instead of raising them to be terrorists.
