America feels like a sociopath

I'm Canadian, so obviously not as bad as it is for people in the US, but the extreme lack of empathy and the utter lack of sense of collectivness is scary. No other country talks about healthcare as "my tax dollars going to pay for someone elses free stuff" like they do in the US. There is no other large Western democracy that has as many anti vaxxers as the US, and their rhetoric is disturbing. Their cinematic obsession with the idea of a zombie apocalypse and the violence that comes with it is scary. The fact that they refused to do anything at all about their mass shootings is very telling. They refused to do anything about the opioid epidemic, and instead choose to blame China for making the drugs and arrest the addicts. If the US were a person, they would most likely be diagnosed as a sociopath.
