Is philosophy compatible with mainstream society?

I believe that philosophy is a pursuit that is inherently against mainstream society. The most important questions a philosopher can ask are questions that undermine the fabric of society.

What is consent really? Is my choice to enter the workforce really a choice if it's the only means of survival?
What is the point of education? Is it self improvement and pursuit of knowledge, or is it just to become a drone that is qualified to do one specific job?
What is the nature of consciousness? Is my entire existence nothing more than my perception of it?
These are the kinds of questions that philosophy asks, and these are the kinds of questions that undermine the status quo. These are also the kinds of questions that are crucial to a true understanding of life.
Thus, I don't believe that you can be a philosopher and still be a part of mainstream society. Anything you say or do that is relevant to philosophy will inevitably undermine the mainstream society that you are a part of.
