I was prompted to write this after my last post was downvoted into oblivion. Now you guys can downvote this into oblivion too but I'm going to say it anyway.

Most white people who say "I'm not racist but..." actually are racist. Now I'm talking about white people, because white people are usually the ones who say this shit, and racism in this country affects blacks more than it affects hispanics and asians. I'm white, 25 years old, and live in North Carolina. So I'm around a lot of white people who say shit like this. The initial sentence that follows this sentence is usually a backhanded compliment, or a micro-aggression in itself.

"I'm not racist but... I'm kind of light skinned but I'm still black right? Yeah so much racial bullshit and my school is mostly white. It's bullshit."

"I'm not racist but... you can't be racist to white people."

"I'm not racist but... take it as a compliment. I would never date a black girl. I think you're pretty though. You're really light for a black girl." (This one I've heard several times, and is the prompt for this post)

"I'm not racist but... I don't get why there needs to be a black history month."

"I'm not racist but... I've always wanted to try a black dick. You know what I mean?"

And I could go on. These examples are all things I've personally heard white people say. The initial sentence is a 'stoplight'. If you say it, I will immediately stop listening to you. I give you a red flag and you can go fuck yourself.

Now I know a small minority of these people do not have ill intent. I'm sure Bill O'Reilly doesn't think he's being racist. But the vast majority of these people are just trying to get out in front of the 'not racist' bullet point so they can say their about-to-be racist sentiment with the protection of their claim that they're not racist.

This is a constant theme in my life. As someone with several different ethnicities in my background including black... I don't know how you white people deal with each other because the shit you say to me because I'm black is unbelieveable. I'm light skinned but I'm black, and I'm treated as black. I don't get treated as white. So I have to put up with all of this bullshit my whole life, including micro-aggressions and backhanded compliments like the one above.

So no, just because you say you're not racist does not mean you can say whatever racist shit you want to say and I won't call you out on it. Enough is enough.
