What would you have done in the place of the Germans in World War II?

When i say "Germans" I mean the average citizen, not the government. I was wondering because if there was a war, in my country, the same things that happened in Germany during the war would happen. And i was wondering how would people react to that. So what would you have done if you lived in Germany during WW2?<br><br>Edit: Sorry for not making it clear. I did not talk about Hitler, i meant the war in general.
