AITA for not paying rent while my house has no running water?

Our landlord is a good guy, a very old man. He’s in his 80s and does not check his email often. He has a property management company handle things for him but this company is not the best. <br><br>I’ve lived in my house for 6 years now and everything has been fine. The property management company dropped the ball with getting a water softener repair done and our house lost water. For a week we have been trying to get them to send someone out to fix it. <br><br>My landlord has now stepped in and has someone coming out today but we’ve been a week without water and I haven’t paid rent yet. I told the property management company that I’m not paying and will pay once the water is back on. They said that’s not okay and I’m a deadbeat tenant. I don’t think it’s fair for us to pay rent for a house with no running water.
