It was a nice day in **Frosthaven**, I had one of my long friendships with my friend **Liz Muestra**. <br><br>She's from **Palacio**, a country that's one of the best friends of **Dakkar**. <br><br>One day she noticed this rare frog in the road. The frog just croaked, so **Liz** asked the person in the pet store next door heard the frog's call and said "it sounds like a frog of the Gods, heard in **Luminaria** only!" <br><br>Liz was amazed at how rare the frog was, and how lucky she was to see one! The pet store owner then said "you must return it to the land of the **Sundered Kingdom** or it will die." <br><br>Liz found a pet travel agency, and they brought the frog to an airfield. The person in the pet travel agency asked "do you want to go to **Sorayn**? It's much closer to **Frosthaven**, but not as humid as the **Sundered Kingdom**." <br><br>Liz looked at the pet store owner and said "no, you said the frog wasn't from **Sorayn**, it's from the land of the **Sundered Kingdom**! Please return it there." <br><br>The person at the pet travel agency said "well, the humid climate of the **Sundered Kingdom** and the fact that the **Sundered Kingdom** is a long, long way from **Frosthaven**, could slow down the journey." <br><br>Liz asked "how long will it take? It has been so long since the frog's been away from its home, it's bound to die shortly." <br><br>The person said "well, we can't take the most direct route. Having to avoid crossing **Opulence** will make the journey much longer." <br><br>Liz asked why they couldn't cross **Opulence**. They pet travel agency person said "because of the uneasy relationship between **Frosthaven** and **Opulence**." <br><br>Liz was disappointed at how long it would take for the frog, and wanted a faster solution. She asked the pet travel agency person "are you sure **Opulence** won't let us cross? Are you sure there is not a faster way?" <br><br>The pet travel agency person heard the frog's call and said "I wish, I really wish there was a better way. I'm not sure of any other, though." <br><br>Then, a man heard the frog's call and said "I know how to get across **Opulence**." He was from **Luminaria**. <br><br>Liz asked the man from **Luminaria**, "what's your name?" The man said "I am **Colonel James**. I am in a very high rank in the armed forces of **Luminaria**." <br><br>Liz asked "how did you come to be in **Frosthaven**?" The man said "I was sent to **Frosthaven** to help them win a war." <br><br>This amazed Liz, she asked "what war?" The man replied "the war in **Palacio**. **Palacio** was attacked by an enemy from **Sorayn**, and because **Luminaria** and **Sorayn** were at war, **Luminaria** helped **Palacio** in its war." <br><br>Liz asked "are you still helping **Frosthaven** in its war?" The Colonel replied "I am not. I have been sent to help **Frosthaven**'s ally, **Dakkar**. I will not be in **Frosthaven** for long." <br><br>Liz then asked "you are able to cross **Opulence**? How?" The Colonel replied "I can do whatever I want. I am a Colonel in the army of **Luminaria**. A high-ranking officer. **Opulence** and **Luminaria** have a good relationship. I can cross **Opulence**, and I will." <br><br>Liz heard the frog's uneasy croak, and was amazed at the man's kindness. She asked "why do you want to do this? You only heard the frog's call, why is that enough to make you cross **Opulence** with us?" <br><br>Colonel James said "well, I heard the frog's call, and I recognised the sound. I know it's a call heard in **Luminaria**, and nowhere else. I heard, though, that in some parts of the world, you can hear a similar call. That sound is one that no person should hear." <br><br>Liz asked "what do you mean?" Colonel James continued "that sound is a call that no person should hear. If a person is not close to the place heard in the call, they should not hear it. There is something wrong in the world if a person is too close yet too far to hear such a call. I heard that call, and I recognised it. Then I saw the frog, and I saw you in such an easily confused state. There is something wrong, so I am doing this." <br><br>Liz was extremely touched by the Colonel's kind words and said "thank you, thank you, thank you!" She noticed that the frog was moving and said "the frog, I have to get it back." <br><br>Colonel James said "I will take you to the **Sundered Kingdom** with the frog. I will use my position to take care of you if anything happens." <br><br>Liz was very happy, and thanked the Colonel for his kindness and selflessness. The Colonel promised to help, and said he would do anything to help keep the pet frog safe. He heard the frog's call and said "I think there are terrors in the world that people shouldn't see, not for a long, long time. We must look after the frog, it's all we can do." <br><br>Liz said "I hear you. Let us go, Col." Colonel James smiled and said "let us go.
