CMV: The US should let the army take a 1 year vacation

Over the next 12 months, the US should not engage in any war, or international conflict. If any war breaks out on our borders (Canada 🚫/ Mexico / ocean) , our army should respond as necessary. <br><br>For the rest of the world though, they can watch their own backs for a little while, and the US can focus on internal issues. <br><br>This would have many benefits: <br><br> - some extra time off for the troops, they can take care of familial and personal issues <br> - The war machinery (ships, planes, bases) can be turned off and left in dry dock for a little while, so we don't have to spend money on fuel, maintenance, etc <br> - The US can focus on internal issues ( schools, jobs, potholes, etc )<br><br>Edit 🤮: this was an attempt at a joke, and I don't feel like arguing for real. Sorry if you were looking for a sincere discussion. <br><br>Edit 2: wow you guys did not appreciate the joke. I mean, I have never written CMV in such a large font before.
