If you are lonely and it breaks your heart, it is because we are not alone

I'm a lonely guy, and it hurts quite a bit sometimes, but it feels like it wouldn't hurt that much if I was the only one in the world. I can imagine a scenario where I'm in a forest, surrounded by trees, and other creatures, and I'm the only human alive, and I can see how they interact, how they live in their own society and how they are happy to be together, but this is not my case. <br><br>This loneliness I'm talking about also applies to people who are in relationships. They're lonely because they can't connect with their partner, and they're even more alone because they can't really connect with people. <br><br>If we were alone in the world, we would be able to see how happy they are, how connected they are to each other, but they do not care about us. But we're not alone, we are with millions of humans, and even then, we're lonely. And it hurts more because we can see how happy they are, how they really love each other, how they connect with each other. It's like living in a mansion, with your family in one wing, and you alone, in the other, and no matter how much you scream, no one can hear you. <br><br>It feels like a cruel joke, because we can imagine how it would be if we were alone, but we're not, and yet we're alone, and it hurts even more.
