Ok so I was sitting on the toilet this morning and I got a random burst of creativity and came up with a game idea. I want to share it here and I'd love to hear what you guys think!

It's an open world game where you keep getting reincarnated. But each time you reincarnate, you get to choose your parents. But the twist is, you don't get to choose what you want, you get to choose who's the most well-known or dominant person in a given time period. So for example if you died in 1499 and wanted to be reincarnated in 1501, you couldn't be like "oh I want to be a blacksmith" or "oh I want to be a noble". No, you'd have to choose the most powerful or well-known person in the world who was alive at that time. So you'd have to be the Pope in 1501, or the King of England.

But of course you can choose a country that was way less powerful than England, but smaller and more obscure. You could choose something like Georgia or Navarre. Even if you did choose England, what position would you want to be in? Would you want to be the King? The advisor? The head of the army? It'd be a big decision.

Each time you reincarnated you'd get a new education, a new social status, and a new skillset. If you lived in the 1500s as a blacksmith, you'd know what a sword is, but what if you then went to ancient Egypt? You'd have no idea what a sword is, because it wouldn't be invented yet. But you would know what a sickle is, because that was invented in ancient Egypt. You'd know what bronze is, because they had bronze in ancient Egypt. So each time you reincarnated you'd have to start by re-learning everything, re-discovering everything, and re-doing everything.

The goal of the game is to unlock 10 achievements or "accomplishments" that would make your soul be able to enter the afterlife. But the only way to do that is by living your life and experiencing and pursuing certain things that are important to you. So if you sincerely liked being a gardener and spent a lot of time doing that, then you might unlock an achievement for being a gardener. But the thing is, you sincerely liked being a gardener, you didn't just do it for the achievement. But you might be tempted to, because you want to go to the afterlife. But the thing is, the more sincerely you pursue your life, the more your soul is nourished. But the more you get obsessed with going to the afterlife, the more malicious you become and the more your soul starves.

So you gotta sincerely be a soldier, sincerely be a general, sincerely be a King, whatever. Sincere in every moment, keep living, keep doing your best, keep pursuing whatever you want, and don't worry too much about the afterlife. So the more you succeed in this life, the more your soul is fed and nourished. The more you aim for the afterlife, the more your soul is starved and malnourished. But sincerely be what you are. Sincerely live this life sincerely in every moment.

And you'd keep going through time, through different time periods, through different places, different social statuses, different positions, and so on. And you'd finally get to the end of the game and sincerely unlock every accomplishment you wanted to. And you'd finally get to the end of your life and enter the afterlife. But what is the afterlife? Well, that's your choice. What do you want to be? You earned it.

What do you guys think?
