All pain -> no pain -> All pain

So I got my teeth cleaned a few days ago.

I got put to sleep and everything went neatly. My dentist told me to take 1000mg of paracetamol (I think that's what he meant by "Paracetamol 1000"?) every 4-6 hours if I got any pain.

I took a 500mg dose before going to sleep.

I was a bit sleepy the next morning and my teeth didn't hurt at all. I still took another dose, and I still didn't get any pain.

This lasted until about 5 hours later, when we were able to get a tramadol. The highest legal dose of tramadol for sale isn't regulated by a doctor's prescription in my country is 100mg/ml.

I took a first dose of 100mg of tramadol at 10am, and then another 3 hours later.

By 3pm I took another Tramadol and was feeling REALLY high. Like, I could barely talk and I was so tired and drowsy. I hadn't eaten since lunch so I figured it would pass once I ate.

I ate and it didn't pass. I went to sleep and woke up later and I think my teeth didn't hurt anymore at that point.

All was good, until a few hours ago when I woke up and I was able to chew on something and it didn't hurt.

But then I ate and it REALLY hurt. I felt a bit dizzy and disoriented and I realized how much pain I was in and that I was REALLY high.

I ate something to help it go away and then I went to sleep again.

But then I woke up and I REALLY REALLY hurt. I was so confused and I was dizzy and disoriented. I was all over the place and I kept almost throwing up.

So I went into where my mom was and I told her I was in pain. She told me to take a nap and then we went to the pharmacy to get more tramadol.

I found out that the legal dose was 300mg/ml and I can buy it without a prescription.

The pharmacist told me to take a 300mg dose now, and told me I can take another 100mg dose in 2 hours and every 6 hours after.

I took it, and I am currently waiting for the pain to go away so I can sleep.

This is my third time taking tramadol. I had taken it the first time for back pain a few months ago and it helped so much that I didn't take anything else.

The second time was the first pain I got from the dentist.

I know some people can take it recreationally and some will be addicted for good.

I know my dose is low and I know taking more won't help with the pain.

I can feel the high but I'm not trying to abuse it. I just want to sleep and feel better.

Maybe I can give y'all some insight on what a dentist visit is like in an underdeveloped country with a less-than-ideal economy.

I've been told my country has a bad economy by multiple people and I trust their judgement, especially since they've had the privilege of travelling and comparing.

I don't know how long I will be able to buckle down and avoid the abuse of Tramadol, but I hope it is long enough for me to finish recovering from this dental appointment.

I will update as I can, hopefully soon.
