I am a professional magician. Here are my 2 cents about David Copperfield

David Copperfield is a great magician but he is a businessman first. I think he has done more harm than good in our magic community. He is the only magician to have ever sued people for sharing their methods online. <br><br>As a magician I believe that people should keep magic secrets but I also believe that this should not be done through litigation. He has sued a lot of people for revealing magic secrets over the years. <br><br>Secondly, his method of teaching magic was through exclusivity. He believed that the best way to protect magic methods was to make exclusivity and scarcity. I don't like this and this is why I don't like magic classes. I think that magic should be taught through mentorship. <br><br>For the past few years, I have been so interested in joining his masterclass because I was intrigued by his method of teaching magic. I saw the trailer and it seemed great and super fun. When I was watching the trailer, I was excited. <br><br>I was so excited so I joined. I went through the lessons and it was meh. A lot of the times, he talks about his life and the people he has met along the way. He has also invited a lot of people to make guest exclusives. At one point, he said, "This is how I started my career, and I only got to know this because I was very lucky." <br><br>My beef with him is that his method of teaching magic is about exclusivity. He says that he's very lucky. Well, I think that's BS. I don't think that everyone will be as lucky as him. <br><br>Honestly, I think he's just milking money out of people by making exclusivity and scarcity. I know people have paid a lot of money and he knows he's just milking money out of them. Bullshit. <br><br>I don't want to be wrong and my analysis might be half assed. I would love to hear your thoughts. <br><br>One of my mentors have taught me that magic is more about mentorship. The best way to learn magic is through mentorship. This is why I don't like magic classes. <br><br>It is really disheartening to see how he is milking money out of people.
