AITA for walking my boyfriend’s dog and bringing her back inside his apartment?

My boyfriend lives in a separate apartment then me. He leaves for work before I do, and I see him at the end of the day for lunch and dinner.<br><br>For the past few weeks now, with the rain and snow he asked me if I could take his dog for a walk after I get home from work. I said yes, and he was super grateful for it. <br><br>Now, I don’t have keys for his apartment, and that’s fine, but he said I can just knock on the door or ring the doorbell and his roommate will let me and the dog in. And that’s what I do. <br><br>Well last night, when I was walking the dog and getting ready to go to my boyfriend’s apartment his roommate called me and said that my boyfriend had gotten off work early and was at the apartment. So I thought, perfect! I’ll let him let me in the apartment. The problem was that he didn’t answer the door, nor was answering his call or his texts. So I just opened the door with the dog, because it was freezing, and she was cold. <br><br>I get a call about 30 minutes later asking me why I just walked into his apartment. I was like, hey it’s freezing, your roommate called me and said you were home, you weren’t answering your phone, and the dog was cold. <br><br>He told me I should have just left the dog outside to wait for him because it’s his apartment and I don’t have a key. <br><br>I see his point, and I will not do it again. But AITA???
