I'm so disappointed to leave Target

I used to work at Target so I've been a hardcore fan for years! I obviously would never shoplift in the place I work, but I always really enjoyed working for them and was proud to be a part of the team.

Up until a few months ago I never had a problem shoplifting at Target, but lately it's been really challenging. They have updated the technology that the cameras use so now they can zoom into a cart or basket and see exactly what's inside. I've had to abandon my hauls so many times there because of this, and I'm getting really sick of it.

I also felt like their asset protection team was very unorganized until recently. You could walk into a Target and go straight to the asset protection office and see mostly empty chairs, which really isn't good from a business perspective. But now they're hiring more people to fill those chairs, and the team members are actually communicating with each other.

I've never been caught or charged, but I feel really uncomfortable every time I go into the Target anymore. They've also put these signs up in the parking lot that say "shoplifting is a crime" and it makes me laugh. I've been doing it for the better part of a decade and have never been caught so I'm not really sure that it is a crime if you can get away with it!

Anyway, when I was a kid my mom would always let me pick a store to go to whenever we were at the mall, and no matter what I always chose Target. So in a way it feels like I'm losing a part of myself by accepting that I can't shoplift there anymore.
