CMV: The Big Bang Theory will be supplanted by a better theory of the origins of the universe sooner than later.

"The Big Bang Theory" (BBT) is the most popular and widely held theory of how the universe was formed. It is widely accepted by the scientific community because so much evidence supports it. I am going to use Occam's Razor to attack it. <br><br>The BBT posits that the universe was formed from a singularity in a random event. Recently we have found that the universe is not random; in fact, it is amazingly consistent and follows specific rules. A singularity in a random event is less likely than the universe is governed by a set of rules, since the universe appears to be so orderly. The BBT has many problems with it that require additional theories to fix. A better theory would be one that explains the origins of the Big Bang itself, that explains phenomena that the BBT doesn't, and has fewer problems. Since physics is giving us better and better understanding of how the universe is governed by rules and we are slowly explaining more and more phenomena, this will eventually lead us to a better understanding of the origins of the universe. <br><br>edit: thank you all for your comments giving me CMV, I'll mark this as "CMV: The Big Bang Theory will be supplanted by a better theory of the origins of the universe sooner than later.
