Will I ever see the end of men?

I hope in my lifetime I will see when it’s safe to walk home from work at midnight without worrying. I hope that men will stop creating a culture of fear and violence for us. That I can have the same leisure of hanging out with my friends at a bar until 1am without worrying I might get kidnapped or raped. I hope that they will no longer feel entitled to our bodies and get angry when we say no. I hope that they will no longer use their privilege to abuse us. I hope that I will see a day when a father will no longer worry about his daughter’s safety from home invasions. That I will no longer see videos of men pulling women out of cars and kidnapping them. I hope for a world with no threat of violence against us.
