Hunter Biden Sued Over 2018 Car Crash That Left 5-Year-Old Girl Dead: Lawsuit

Hunter Biden is being sued by the parents of a 5-year-old girl who died in a 2018 car crash in Connecticut involving him, a new report revealed.<br><br><br>Hunter Biden was driving his rental car in Darien on Oct. 26, 2018, when he failed to stop at a stop sign, causing a three-vehicle collision, a police report stated.<br><br><br>Jillian Thicklin, 5, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, died at the scene.<br><br><br>Her parents, Melissa and Michael Thicklin, filed a lawsuit against Hunter Biden on Oct. 19, 2023, according to court records obtained by the New York Post.<br><br><br>The parents alleged in the current lawsuit that Hunter Biden violated a number of traffic laws, including reckless endangerment and negligent use of a highway by a motor vehicle.<br><br><br>Hunter Biden’s lawyer, George Vien, said that Hunter Biden was not at fault in the crash in a statement to the New York Post.<br><br><br>“Hunter Biden was involved in an unfortunate vehicle accident in Connecticut. Following an extensive investigation, the police concluded that Hunter Biden was not at fault for the accident,” Vien said.<br><br><br>“The Thicklins’ decision to file a baseless lawsuit is a publicity stunt that only serves to bring more attention to their case and more pain to the family of their deceased child,” Vien added.<br><br><br>Hunter Biden has a history of traffic-related offenses, including a 2018 DUI arrest in Arizona.<br><br><br>A police report from the accident showed that Hunter Biden told officers he was not driving but in an Uber and was attempting to get to New Haven when the crash happened.<br><br><br>Hunter Biden said he was not driving and was in an Uber when he got into the accident.<br><br>[NYP]<br><br>&#x200B;
