Is it even worth getting an AR?

So here in WA they pretty much banned all semi-auto centerfire lmg’s and assault rifles.

To keep an AR, you have to get a permit, and it’s very heavily regulated. The permits are also very expensive.

Also, any new ones sold have to be fixed mag, non adjustable stock, over 16 inches, and no pistol grip.

I don’t really have the means, space, or desire to own an AR at this point.

Im not even 18 yet but it really makes me appreciate my one and only gun I have which is a Mossberg 500.

Edit: wow this blew up, thanks for the awards.

To clarify I live in a rather… let’s call it, “progressive” area in WA state. I am pro 2nd amendment all the way and it really sucks to be surrounded by so many people who don’t care.
