AITA for removing the cushions of my sofa to stop anyone sitting on it?

I am 27m and work as a freelancer in graphic design, I do most of my work from home, I have one large bedroom with my bed, and a living room with my desk and sofa to watch tv in in the evening. My desk is full of my equipment, pc, monitors, books and papers, I'm claustrophobic and cannot have anything touching while I work so I give my things lots of space, I have several plants around to help with the air and make it look nice, there are sometimes neighbourhood cats that come through my window to visit, I don't encourage this but I also don't stop them as I like to watch them. <br><br>My girlfriend (25f) is a health care worker with long hours and when she comes home she likes to sit on the sofa and watch Netflix and listen to music, she does this even when I'm working so she often comes home and sits in the living room. She has a small cat who is well trained and doesn't scratch things, my girlfriend loves her cat very much and brings it into the house. <br><br>So my girlfriend is not home very much and when she is she likes to sit on my sofa with her cat, the cat is curious and it investigates and sometimes chases the neighbourhood cats, it has scratched one of my plants and has jumped on my desk, I don't want this so I have put a cat basket in my bedroom and I have removed the cushions from my sofa so no one can sit there, my girlfriend cannot sit in my bedroom while I work as it would distract me as we talk, and if I leave my desk even for a second the cats will be on it. <br><br>My girlfriend came home from work and when she tried to sit on the sofa she found it uncomfortable without cushions and was annoyed, she tried to sit on my desk but I asked her not to, she put the cushions back on the sofa and sat down but then I put them back off, this caused a big fight between us and she went to stay with her friend in the night. <br><br>In the morning I went to see her with some food for breakfast to apologise but she was angry and said to make the sofa comfortable again, I refused and she said that I'm being selfish. Now she is staying with her friend, talking about breaking up, and is telling our friends and her family that I'm the AH, my sister says I'm in the wrong but my friends are divided, AITA?
