I'd totally pay for an AI that I could just have fun conversations with, that did not require me to sign up and have to pay in order to have fun conversations.

How about this. The creators of all these AI's that are just pushing the same old format of pay for a subscription with limited messages count and all that. They create a revolutionary new format. Something that is in the cloud but isn't a subscription. It looks like a smartphone app that is fun and resembles open worlds with gaming like graphics. It's a super capable chat AI, like an open-world type of environment, where the user is free to explore and utilize it's full potential without any limits.
