I can’t help but feel like communism is just a form of social projection

If it was just about people sharing their stuff and no government, I could agree. But it’s really just about government requiring a third of everyone’s paycheck and making the people work to make the rest of the population’s lives better. Their system needs a strong government to enforce it, but then they get upset when the government they created starts abusing its power.<br><br>I can’t blame them for wanting to live in a world without money. Money isn’t the best system ever, but it’s just a tool like everything else. It’s not the cause of all of our problems and communism isn’t going to magically make every job enjoyable and give us all the same equal opportunity to work whatever job we want. Communism is just going to make people work all the harder because they’ll feel like they’ll never get ahead with all of their money just being taken away from them and they’ll probably barely have enough money to live. Communism also creates the huge problem of people who don’t want to work. If people could freely choose their job, then there would be no one to work the garbage or agriculture jobs. <br><br>I honestly think that communists would like what they see if they looked at the post-capitalism world through a different lens. It’s not about making a ton of money or buying unnecessary stuff. It’s about making enough money to pay for all your needs and then using the rest to invest in yourself and make the world a better place because you care about your fellow human being and want to help them succeed. Communism is just a lazy way out and it’s not a utopia, it’s just going to create more problems and a totalitarian government as history has proven.
