Carjacker in a full Spiderman costume- Let's not meet.

I've been in my line of work for almost 10 years. I'm a Paramedic in a big city and have seen some crazy things in my time. And with that comes a lot of stories. So I finally saw this sub and decided to join and post a few. <br><br>So here is my first story, and it can be summed up in one sentence:<br><br>I hope that the guy who tried to carjack me at gun point while wearing a full Spiderman costume never gets out of jail nor meets any other innocent civilians. <br><br><br>This happened in 2018- I was in the ER (the name of the company I work for contract with a hospital so we sit in our garage at the ER most of the night). I was in the drivers seat, and my partner was in the passengers seat, both of us in the squad truck- a Ford F-350 diesel. Both of us were working on reports from a couple calls we had already ran, and it was about 2:30am. <br><br>Anyways, The ER we were at has a bunch of fenced in parking lots, and we sit in the one that is attached to the garage (this is important). There is a gated entrance to the parking lots in front of the ER, and an exit gate. There is also an emergency exit attached to the parking lot, but it is for walk in traffic. <br><br>So as I'm sitting there, with my neck craned back and to my right, looking at the monitor where we get all our calls, a guy pulls up to the garage door in a newer looking BMW and starts trying to get in. <br>The garage door is obviously locked at this hour, but the car keeps pulling up, backing up, then trying to break in again to the parking garage. Finally, the car pulls up in the parking lot right next to us- and a guy in a full Spiderman costume, mask and all, is driving. When I say full costume, I mean it- mask and all. <br><br>Nonetheless, I take note, but think nothing of it. The car goes down our row- parks about 3 cars away, and the Spiderman guy gets out and walks to the nearest car and tries to get in. Not only does this guy not know how to break into a car, but he's in a parking lot surrounded by security cameras. After about 3 minutes, with our lights flashing for a couple seconds to try to get his attention, he still doesn't notice us- and pulls out a gun. My partner yells "oh shit- he's got a gun!"- I tell her to stop, hit the lock button on our doors, and hit the panic alarm- lights and sirens. <br><br>Spiderman jumps at the sound, and finally notices us- runs right to my side of the truck, waving the gun in the air, and smashes the barrel of the gun against the glass- shouting at me to open the door. <br><br>Nonetheless, I say nothing, and don't move. He keeps hitting the glass, and now is hitting the side of the truck, as well as the other cars in the parking lot. At this point, a nurse walks out the ER door- only to see Spiderman waving a gun around. She screams and runs back in, and Spiderman yells "Bitch- I'll shoot you!" And then points the gun at the ER door.<br><br>A few moments later, security comes out, sees Spiderman, and quickly runs back inside- shouting for him to drop the weapon. Spiderman turns around- still waving the gun around, and goes back to hitting the glass. By now, the police have been called. Spiderman goes back to smashing the glass, and the police pull up- with their lights and sirens going, and the PA going, telling him to drop the weapon. <br><br>Spiderman goes into full on freak out mode- waving the gun around- and then starts to run around the parking lot in circles. Finally, he grabs his car- and tries to make a run for it, only to realize the parking lot that the BMW was in was the emergency exit, which is a "no outlet" and is surrounded by large concrete blocks to stop the car, as well as a fire extinguisher that sits on the wall outside that door. <br><br>Spiderman, who is still in full freak out mode, gets back out of the car- and tries to ram the car into the concrete blocks and the wall to try to get out. Finally, he gets out of the car, and runs back towards the parking lot. The police run after him, and quickly apprehend him with their tasers. <br><br>The police bring him back to the parking lot, where we were still sitting, and put him in the back of the cruiser. By now, the whole parking lot is filled with police cars and ambulances. Shortly, the police tell us that Spiderman was high on meth, and had warrants out for his arrest. <br><br>I hope that this guy never gets out of jail again, and I'm glad that he never met any innocent civilians. Just goes to show you never know who you will meet in the middle of the night.<br><br>Edit: Holy shit this blew up- thank you all for so many upvotes and for all the awards.
