My dad is the son of a British immigrant who settled in Israel in the 60s and my mother is the daughter of a Syrian refugee.

They found each other, they fell in love, and I exist. I’m grateful that Israeli law gives Syrian refugees citizenship, and I’m grateful my father was born to a British immigrant who found Israel to be his home. Israeli law doesn’t fail immigrants and refugees. It gives them a chance to start a new life.
