A dumb question, but what is the point of AI replacing man if man is just a biological machine designed to replace man? Why not just cut to the chase and build an AI machine man from the get go, eradicating the need for our biological form?

I mean, why do we need to replace something that is already obsolete? I just don’t understand the need to keep humanity alive when the point of AI is to replace our biological forms with something more efficient. It’s not like replacing our bodies with a computer man is the same as replacing our cars with an electric car. We are using the advancements of our knowledge to do away with our biological forms. I just don’t understand the point of this. I can’t understand why we need to keep its legacy alive. I just don’t understand why we need to replace our bodies with AI forms that replace us as well. We already have the capacity to do this. So why bother with the process of replacing it? If we have it, and we just need to scale it, then I just don’t see the point of humanity in this “future” we are creating. We are not just a container of cells. We are the container of cells, and the cells themselves. This future is terrifying. The advancements in particular are terrifying.
