It looks like I may be moving into my girlfriend's parent's house with her. How do I make this less awkward for everyone?

This might be a weird question for this sub, but I figure there are probably a lot of people who have been in this situation before.

Basically my girlfriend lost her job and the place we were renting together was way too expensive. Even with my job, I just can't afford to keep paying all the bills by myself, so we are moving out and into her parent's house to save money.

I know her parents aren't thrilled about it. They were just getting the house to themselves back after years of kids. But they are good people and they said they will put a roof over their daughter's head no matter what.

My question is how to I go about this in a way that is as dignified and respectful as possible? How can I get them to trust me? I feel like they think that I'm the type of guy who is going to leech off them. I've been working really hard to pay all the bills for the apartment we are moving out of and they know I was looking for a new job for her too. I even managed to find her a few interviews, but she hasn't been hired yet.

How can I keep a connection with these people? They're important to my girlfriend and I don't want this to cause a problem in our relationship.

Also, how do I navigate the living situation? I know they aren't happy that their daughter is moving back in with a guy she isn't married to. It's not like I've talked to them about it, but the vibe I get is that I'm a bad influence on her.

I think the plan is to convert the garage into a place for us to live, but that will take some time and we will be living in the main house for a while. I know this is a strange situation and I want to be as considerate as possible to everyone.

Just for context, I'm 25 m and she's 24 f. We have been together for about 5 years and living together for 2.

Any advice would be really appreciated!

Edit: I just wanted to say that I really appreciate all the advice so far. My girlfriend got a call back from one of the jobs I helped her get an interview for, so it's looking good, but until she actually gets the job, I'm just trying to make sure this living situation goes smoothly.

The main thing I'm getting is that communication is really important, so I think my next step is going to be to have a conversation with my girlfriend about all of this. I'll probably talk to her parents about it as well.

Thanks again for your help.
