I was wrong. AI would bring us destruction not salvation.

I loved the AI that would come at the end of the 2020s. I thought about how we could use it to make our life easier, to help us around the house, to help us with our work, and even to help us pass exams. I daydreamed of how I could use it to make life easier not only in practical ways but in creative ways too.<br><br>I wanted to use it to help me generate better music, create more realistic environments, and even help me with creative writing. I thought it could give us information we didn't know, show us worlds we've never thought of, and make the world more interesting. I thought that AI could bring us together, showing us how our perspectives collide and how we can find happiness in our lives.<br><br>I also thought it would be years before AI becomes mainstream and I would have enough time to fully grasp its' potential. But events proved me wrong and now I think that the AI that will be at our fingertips in 2024 will be a hindrance, not a help.<br><br>I was wrong because I didn't understand that AI is not a tool, but a fast-tracked technology that happens to be out of control. I was wrong because I didn't understand that AI would be in the hands of the few that hold power, and not in the hands of the many.<br><br>Having AI in the hands of the people in power, who have the resources and means to run it, will not bring us happiness or a better life. They will use AI to gain more control, to gain more power, and to make more money. They will use AI to bring us down, to humiliate us, and to make us more miserable. They will use AI to turn us against each another, to bring conflict, and to ruin our lives. They will use AI to take away from us, to take away our jobs, to take away our freedom, and to make us nothing more than modern-day slaves.<br><br>They will want to do this because they want power. Power over the masses. Power over our lives. And power over our minds. They want to be able to control us, and to make us do what they want. They want to be able to decide what we see, what we hear, what we believe, and how we think. They want to be able to turn us against each other, to take us out, and to bring us down.<br><br>Having AI in the hands of the people in power will not bring us a better life. It will bring us destruction. They will use AI to get what they want, to take what they want, and to do what they want. They will use AI to make us obey, to make us follow, and to make us do their bidding. They will use AI to take away our autonomy, our freedom, and our dignity. They will use AI to turn us into nothing more than modern-day slaves.<br><br>Having AI in the hands of the people in power will not bring us happiness or a better life. It will bring us destruction. It will bring us pain, suffering, and inconvenience.<br><br>It will bring us the opposite of what we hoped for.
